Dr Alan Theobald

Dr Theobold is internationally renowned for his knowledge in maritime electromagnetics. Early in his career he worked on magnetic and electric signature analysis and modeling and degaussing algorithms. This work at the Admiralty Underwater Weapons Establishment (UK) led to the current generation of significantly simpler magnetic ranges. He has a plethora of experience in shallow water, or littoral operations (DSTO) including mine threat assessment, underwater ranges, mine hunting sonar, operational modeling concepts, mine sweeping technology, underwater environmental characterisation, non acoustic sensor systems and maritime security. He has 20 years experience with DSTO.

He has published over forty technical reports and holds three international patents in the field of magnetic signature analysis.
