Dr Christine Scala

    Dr Christine Scala is a distinguished scientist with a high level of achievement throughout her forty-five year career in science and technology. She has strong capabilities in scientific strategic planning and review, is a highly-experienced specialist in advanced materials science and an internationally-recognised expert in nondestructive evaluation.

    As a Research Leader in the (now) DST Group, Christine led a large multi-disciplinary branch, delivering innovative scientific developments in advanced materials across the air, maritime, land and enabling research sectors. Her research programs leveraged off strong linkages she established with universities and industry, and resulted in significant technology advances being transitioned to Defence. Following retirement from Public Service, Christine established a successful strategic scientific advisory business, which focusses on delivering strategic and technical program review to universities, Defence and industry
